Parasite
The film Parasite is a Korean made film about the social system and a family taking advantage of rich people for their own gain, they con their way into getting jobs for each family member taking as much as they can from the family. This film won four awards.
To me, I did not like this movie, however despite the fact that I don't like it I understand how this movie won awards, the story is well paced and the acting is supurb, the main star point, I think the main reason I don't like this film or in a broader sense these types of films is because they reflect and show the nature of our world and the ugly truths that we don't see on the surface, something I prefer to escape in through fictional stories.
Even though these films are not my type I believe they need to exist to bring to light issues that otherwise would go unnoticed, such as in parasite picks at the problem with the gap between the rich and the poor, showing that the rich go ignorant of the struggles of the less fortunate.
This film is a great example of how we can bring issues that our world faces into the public eye, while it does not garentee that it will change the real world, it will get people thinking and let people know what is going on, as one of the things that cause or lets these problems such as the class gap, is Ignorance.
