Research: Let Girls Dream and girl in the river documentary

Let Girls Dream:

Let girls dream is about a 14 year old girl who dreams of becoming a pilot
her dreams however are unable to come to light as she is married off
to a much older man, the film is
shown through the perspective of the little sister, who doesn't know or understand their cultures traditions.

I think this film is very good, the fact that it is silent lets you focus on expression and the actions of what is going on, the film was made to bring to light child marriages that take place in Pakistan, the story the was told was very beautiful and sad as this is a very real thing for a lot of young girls, being married of and not being able to achieve their dreams

Girl in the River:

This documentary is about a young 19 year old woman who almost died to her
Father and Uncle by 'Honor Killing', for marrying  with someone they did not approve of,
it follows her story and documents what happens and what
followed. It shows the messed up justice system in Pakistan, letting people get away with murder in the terms of honor killing.

I find it very sad that women can just be killed by a man if they believe they or their family were wronged by said woman, it shows how little power they have in their own lives.

On the IMDB Page it is stated that after the documentary that the prime minister is changing the law of Honor killings
Won an academy award for best documentary short in 2016
