Animation Project: How we Met

SO needles to say, I felt very little passion for my last idea,

one that I don't think I would have done well, sooo,

How we Met

About:

This story is based in my world of Cross Destiny
The story focuses around Martha (Ezaru's Mother)
Telling her about how she and her Father (Nova) Met, after Ezaru has had a tough day.

Question

How can I effectively represent the close relationship I have with my mother through an animated short film, using flashbacks as a plot device?

Log-line:

A mother tells stories of how she and her love met, to comfort her young daughter after she had a fight with her close friend.


Treatment:

Ezaru is flying through the rain, she approaches her family home, on the side of a cliff overhanging a lake, she lands down, clearly miserable, and wanders Inside.
Her mother finds her crying in the entrance, and asks whats wrong, ezaru jumps into her embrace, telling her about a bad fight with her best friend Ace.

Her mother curdles her, explaining that she knows how tough relationships can be, and that she and Nova went through tough times as well, she heards her daughter into the main room of their home and lays down with her.

Talking about after she left her home world she and Nova went on similar adventures, Ezaru asked what they were doing on their own, and not at home.
Martha then states that she had never told her daughter about how they had met

Martha begins to tell the story

First Flashback

Martha is on a small hill next to a lake, shifting through the clovers head down,
Another dragon is sneaking up on her and jump, giving Martha a fright,  He inquires what she is doing, and she explains she is looking for a four leaf clover for her little brother,
Noa snort and giggles saying okay and starts ranting about his own family and how they are being frustrating, while Martha look on slightly confused at the new dragon who burst out with dialog,
She eventualy interupts him and asked if he wants to help her.
Who after a second agrees, they continue to chat about family.
Before Novas father calls from a distance, Nova Leaves and Martha asks if they can see each other again. (same place another time)

Second (meeting again)

Martha is once again on the hill, laying among the clovers
Nova Sneaks up on her, blurting out "still looking for clovers"
They look at each other

Third ( Short )
Short clip of the two playing together on the hill,
chasing each other, and tackling each other.


Forth ( The attack)

Flash back
martha goes to their spot, to find nova caught by hunters
She helps him escape,
chase
narrow escape.
Back to present
naration - what happened
flashback of fighting each other
Back we got through it together



This fight font break you to, not if you let it.
