How can I effectively represent the close relationship I have with my mother through an animated short film, using flashbacks as a plot device?

Show relationship between ideas and methodology  

The method I will use to show my question, is by Observation of My own relationship with my mother, along with researching through articles, using the inflammation I gather I will use it to create an animated short film, showing two characters, a mother and daughter, that reflect my own relationship in real life.
